Machine Maintenance Technician II - 3rd ShiftLocation: Eden Prairie, MNSchedule: 3rd Shift, Sunday-Thursday 9:45 pm – 6:15 amThe Machine Maintenance Technician II will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning, repair, and maintenance of production machinery and equipment. Your primary focus will be to minimize downtime, enhance efficiency, perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting and contribute to the overall success of the manufacturing process.What you will be doing:Lead routine inspections and preventive maintenance, including scheduling, on manufacturing equipment to identify and address potential issues before they escalateTroubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in machinery, using a systematic approach to identify root causes and implement corrective actionsPerform repairs and replace defective parts as needed, utilizing a variety of hand and power toolsCollaborate with and provide recommendations to the production team to optimize machine performance and minimize downtimeIdentify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and reliability of manufacturing equipmentParticipate in equipment upgrades and modifications as requiredMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory of spare partsGenerate reports on machine performance, maintenance activities, and any issues encounteredAdhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasksEnsure compliance with relevant regulations and standards for machine safety and operationTrack outstanding equipment orders and communicate updates to managementLead the training of junior maintenance technicians and provide guidance as neededAssist engineering with the purchase and installation of new equipmentMust have for this role:Associate's degree in electrical or mechanical trade or 4 years of applicable work experience in lieu of education4+ years of related experienceProven experience as a Machine Maintenance Technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environmentStrong troubleshooting skills and the ability to think critically to solve complex problemsExperience reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematicsExperience with various hand and power tools to perform the jobKnowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systemsFamiliarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation systemsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong verbal and written communication skillsNice to have:Vocational training in machine maintenance or related technical fields is preferredExperience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Forklift preferred experienceStratasys is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
