Electrician Maintenance Technician

This postion is located at our Severn Peanut location in Severn, NC.

Position Scope:

To properly maintain, troubleshoot and repair facility electrical

systems, including both single-phase and three-phase equipment,

motors and controls.

Essential Job Duties:

• Use and conduct proper care of PPE
• Perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Install and repair electrical systems, including lighting,
• motors, controls, enclosures and auxiliary equipment.
• Use meters and test equipment to diagnose electrical
• and mechanical issues.
• Proper use of hand and power tools.
• Reading and understanding schematics and one-line
• diagrams.
• Install power distribution wiring and conduit for newIY
• installed machines and equipment.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and
• standards to work within a food production environment.
• Diagnose malfunctioning mechanical and electrical
• equipment such as transformers, motors, load centers and lighting
• Replace faulty electrical components such as relays,
• switches, motors, Nema starters and position sensors.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Record and document all maintenance, repair and
• installations through work orders.
• Perform all duties assigned by the Electrical Manager.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

• 3 years Industrial Electrical experience. (Preferred)
• High School Diploma/GED
• Knowledge of industrial/commercial environments, including
• 480-volt 3 phase systems.
• Ability to pass forklift/ rnanlift/ scissor lift training through SPC.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Electrical/Electronics trade certificates preferred .

Work Environment:

• Ability to work on elevated surfaces.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work in hot or cold environments.
• Ability to work in noisy, dusty and otherwise hazardous environments.
