Senior EHS/Safety Engineer

Eaton’s Electrical Division is currently seeking an EHS/Safety Engineer to join our team in Waukesha, WI. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. What you’ll do:As a EHS/ Safety Engineer, you will provide environmental, health, safety, and security support to a site of approximately 250 employees.Essential Responsibilities• Supports site in achieving EHS targets & objectives. Supports development, maintenance and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives.• Facilitates risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Supports site leadership team to create targets and objectives based on key EHS risks. Engages all shift and communicates updates on daily basis.• Engineer risk out of hazards identified. Collaborate cross functionally across Lincoln Ave Plant.• Facilitate engagement of site MESH Team in ownership of the MESH elements.• Works with leadership team and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations. • Uses established EHS data processes such as MESH Suite to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items and other pertinent information.• Work with site leadership team and facilities to ensure that all key EHS operational controls are in place on a PM program, and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis.• Coordinate IH assessments (noise, hex chrome, & welding) and employee medical evaluations (example respirators use).• Attend incident investigations (injuries, incidents, spills, property damage & near misses), manage MESH Prism and on time closure and escalation of all corrective actions in MESH Prism.• Assist with Layer process audits for EHS processes and ensure follow-through and closure of findings (SWPP, SPCC, Air permit checks, daily safety walks).• Supporting A3 team with problem solving and supporting tier meeting for various value streams.• Develop and enhance safety programs used by the plant. • Participate and lead Emergency Response Team.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in occupational/environmental safety OR Engineering requiredMinimum of (2) two years’ experience working in an Environmental, Health & Safety role in a manufacturing settingNo relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of 50 miles of Waukesha, WI will be considered.
