RN/LPN (12hr shifts)

Overview RN/LPN (12hr shifts) – A G Rhodes Health & Rehab, Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Medical Responsibilities Deliver quality care to residents in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations and A.G. Rhodes standards. Report to the Director of Nursing or other Nursing Supervisor. Work in various locations within the facility (e.g., resident rooms, therapy rooms, dietary). Participate in continuing education programs and maintain professional licensure requirements. Provide care in shift schedules (7am–7pm and 7pm–7am) as assigned and as necessary, including coverage beyond normal hours or in other positions temporarily. Respond to residents, associates, visitors, and external agencies with professionalism and sensitivity. Qualifications Must have an LPN degree and active LPN licensure in the current state. One year geriatric nursing experience preferred. Specific Requirements Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant action. Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures, and of laws, regulations and guidelines governing nursing in long-term care. Ability to lead and work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel. Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret nursing department programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures. Physical and Sensory Requirements (With or without the aid of mechanical devices) Move intermittently throughout the workday. Cope with mental and emotional stress associated with the position. Maintain adequate sight and hearing or use prosthetics to function effectively. Be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability. Lift, push, pull or transfer a minimum of 40 lbs.
