Job Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks as authorized, accurately carrying out provider orders and assisting with treatments and procedures.
• Manage patient flow to optimize clinic efficiency, communicating wait times effectively to patients and staff.
• Administer immunizations under provider supervision, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with health regulations.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records, including documenting patient complaints, vital signs, and exam preparations.
• Coordinate referrals and communicate with referral coordinators to ensure timely processing of consults, diagnostics, and procedures.
• Conduct daily room checks, stock exam rooms, manage sample medications, and uphold infection control standards.
• Collaborate with environmental services to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
• Participate in team activities, support new team members, and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 90 days of hire.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of medical assistant duties and scope of practice.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and exercise independent judgment.
