Description:

This position provides support via repairs for all facility operations across 21 restaurant locations throughout the Kansas City Market. Ensure optimal facility performance, regulatory compliance, and brand standard adherence through the upkeep of Whataburger equipment platform. Maximize facility uptime and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee facility operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, other miscellaneous areas when time permits.
• Analyze performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education:

• Associate’s degree in technical field or equivalent or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

• 5 + years' experience in maintenance roles
• 3+ years' experience in restaurant, food service, or multi-site facility maintenance

Professional Certification:

• EPA Section 608 Universal Refrigerant Handling Certification (required)
• OSHA 30-Hour Training certification (preferred)

Working Conditions/Travel Requirements:

• Must be able to travel locally to worksites, meeting sites, and other locations. A company vehicle is provided plus per diem expenses.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, submit to releasing a Motor Vehicle Record that adheres to the Whataburger standards and maintain current automobile liability at minimum levels in their state of residence

Physical:

• Must be able to walk, stand, sit, or kneel for extended periods of time and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to work on ladders and roof tops and in various environmental conditions (hot kitchens, cold freezers, outdoor areas)
