The Fleet Mechanic will repair Automotive and Diesel Vehicles. We would like to talk with YOU!DutiesEssential DutiesRepairs and maintains Customer Fleet of Automotive and Diesel VehiclesService and Repair of Class 8, medium duty, trailer repair, and light duty car and truckPerform PMI's on all vehicles, tractors, trailers and other equipmentPerform all types of engines, brake, drive train, electrical, and A/C repairsRecord all work orders in Electronic Fleet Maintenance SystemAdhere to OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulatory complianceTest drive vehicles under 26,000 GVWMust be able to work independentlyPersonal tools required, large and specialty tools will be provided by VEHICAREPhysical and Safety RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms.The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance.Associate must be able to read and write reports.Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.Education and/or Experience3 years related Experience in any of the following areas: Class 8, medium duty, trailer repair, or light duty AUTO and TruckPreferred Diesel Program Certificate from college or technical schoolCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record within the last 3 years.No drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the past 5 years (ie., DUI/DWI).Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.Current ASE Certifications a plusState Safety Inspector License is a plusWhy should you apply?
