Job Summary

Geisinger’s Neuroscience Institute is seeking a spine-focused neurosurgeon to join our growing practice in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a neurosurgeon specialized in cutting‑edge minimally invasive and/or complex spine surgery. The candidate will join a collaborative group of two other neurosurgeons with complex and deformity spine surgery expertise, and will use Medtronic O arm and stealth navigation technology for anterior, lateral, and posterior spine approaches. They will be motivated to expand the program’s expertise and increase patient access and choice in the region.

Additional responsibilities include working with a diverse neurosurgical faculty that covers vascular/endovascular, neuro‑oncology, skull base, stereotactic, and functional neurosurgery. General neurosurgery call coverage, including cranial and spine trauma, is required.

The position is within our world‑class Geisinger Neuroscience Institute, with high‑value clinical protocols for acute inpatient and chronic outpatient disease management, a 20‑year clinical data warehouse, and a groundbreaking population genomics program. The candidate will also work across four hospitals that include multiple hybrid operating rooms supporting comprehensive stroke programming.

Position Details

• Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required)
• Certification and License: Licensed Medical Doctor – State of Pennsylvania
