Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend required; floating within facility as needed based on scope of practice

Highlights:

• Renal Medical-Surgical unit with adult to geriatric patient population
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 on a 49-bed unit with average daily census of 48
• Epic EMR system required; Pyxis and SBAR communication protocol utilized
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Holiday requirements apply based on major holidays falling within assignment period
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission

Requirements:

• Active Georgia or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios preferred
• Proficiency in renal medical-surgical nursing including pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure care, central line management, telemetry, wound care, medication administration (heparin, insulin, PCA), BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes, feeding tubes, and various other acute care skills
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Full compliance required prior to start date; orientation occurs bi-weekly
