Occupational Therapist (OT) / Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Location: Springfield, CO
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
Pay: Approximately $50/hour for OT $35/hour for COTA , depending on experience

About the Opportunity

A skilled nursing community in southeastern Colorado is looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join its rehabilitation team.

The facility currently has a small Medicare caseload of approximately 3-4 residents , creating an opportunity to provide personalized, resident-focused therapy in a manageable environment.

Both part-time and full-time candidates will be considered .

About the Role

As an OT or COTA, you'll work with residents to help improve their independence, safety, and ability to perform activities of daily living.

We're looking for someone who is compassionate, dependable, and comfortable collaborating with nursing and rehabilitation staff to provide quality care.

Responsibilities May Include:

• Evaluate and/or provide occupational therapy services within your professional scope and licensure.
• Develop or carry out individualized treatment plans designed to improve residents' functional abilities and independence.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, mobility, positioning, and adaptive techniques.
• Document therapy services accurately and timely.
• Communicate resident progress and changes with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Educate residents, families, and staff regarding therapy goals and appropriate techniques.
• Help maintain an organized, resident-centered rehabilitation program.

Leadership Opportunity for COTAs

For a full-time COTA , there may be an opportunity to serve as Rehab Director in addition to providing therapy services.

Candidates interested in the Rehab Director role should be comfortable helping coordinate rehabilitation operations, supporting the therapy team, and maintaining an organized and effective department.

Additional compensation may be available for the Rehab Director responsibilities based on background and experience.

You'll Be a Great Fit If You:

• Are a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) eligible to practice in Colorado.
• Have experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or a similar healthcare environment.
• Enjoy working with an older adult population.
• Are organized, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Are looking for flexibility with either part-time or full-time hours .
• Have leadership experience or an interest in rehabilitation management if pursuing the full-time COTA/Rehab Director opportunity.

Compensation

Occupational Therapist (OT): Approximately $50.00 per hour , depending on experience.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA): Approximately $35.00 per hour , depending on experience.

COTA candidates taking on Rehab Director responsibilities may qualify for a higher hourly rate , depending on their background and experience.
