Responsibilities

Your duties will include:

• Reminding and encouraging clients to take prescribed medication
• Assisting clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor's appointments, walks, etc.)
• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Supporting clients in completing physical therapy and other recommended exercises
• Doing the client's shopping or accompanying them when they shop if needed
• Performing light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own, including preparing meals
• Collecting information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and family members
• Reporting any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors, and family members
• Acting quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification preferred but not required
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
• Outstanding communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Physical endurance to complete required tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent
