Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical / Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Valid nursing license Certifications: ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Experience with chest tubes - Experience with IV drips such as Diltiazem, Heparin, Lasix, Insulin, or Amiodarone - Experience with lines/tubes/drains for post-surgical patients - Experience with tracheostomies/laryngectomies - Telemetry experience - Experience with complex wound care - Proficient in central line care, maintenance, and blood draws Description: 48 hours per week - 13 week contract. Multiple needs available. Primarily working with a variety of medical patients rather than surgical. Patients may present with acute or chronic illnesses such as sepsis and various infectious processes. Experience with acute kidney injury or chronic kidney disease, including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, is required. Experience with diabetes management, gastrointestinal issues, and fluid/electrolyte imbalances is necessary. Knowledge of alcohol withdrawal, liver disease, substance misuse, endocarditis, and heart disease is important. Experience managing skin/wound issues is essential. Candidates should be prepared to care for patients with acute and chronic respiratory illnesses, including COPD, flu, pneumonia, and cystic fibrosis. This position involves on-call responsibilities.
