Jack in the Box Assistant Manager: Store 5393 Hemet, CA 92544 - $20.00 - $24.00 / hour - full time Job Description Responsible for managing restaurant operations, in conjunction with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise. Primary responsibilities are to provide excellent internal service, external service, and build restaurant sales and profit while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Internal Service: Recruit, select, train, develop, and evaluate restaurant employees; monitor staffing levels; implement training systems; identify and develop internal candidates for management and Team Leader positions; manage execution of "My Promise to You" and the Service Profit Chain; create a friendly, fun, clean, and safe environment; treat employees with respect; motivate and inspire high performance; recognize and reward employees; comply with labor laws. External Service: Manage daily activities to achieve operational excellence; ensure guests receive exceptional experience; train employees and hold the team accountable for guest service and food quality; monitor adherence with JIB systems, procedures, and food safety; review practices and improve guest experience; interact with guests and resolve concerns; maintain brand image through consistent food quality, service, and cleanliness. Higher Profits: Partner with Restaurant Manager to analyze operational and financial performance each period; use management tools to identify trends and action plans; execute Service Profit Chain to increase sales and profitability; consider cost/benefit impact of decisions; protect the brand; monitor costs and budget compliance. Fostering the Culture: Demonstrate passion for the business; manage with integrity, honesty, and trust; uphold Jack in the Box culture and values; maintain high ethical standards; listen, communicate, and manage conflict calmly. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience: Minimum 1 year as Shift Leader or Assistant Manager in customer service (internal promote) or 3 years as Assistant Manager with some P&L responsibility (external recruit). Must be 100% certified in all workstations. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Minimum age 18; complete Assistant Manager training; ServSafe certified; speak, read, write English; interpersonal skills; basic math; analytical skills; organized and planning; self-starter; initiative; personal computer and software proficiency; valid driver’s license, insurance, and personal vehicle for deposits and travel. Physical Requirements: Stand/walk 85-95% of shift; lift 10-65 lbs; move freely in restaurant; operate equipment and drive vehicle; use computer keyboard.
