As our founding Internal Medicine specialist, you'll have the autonomy to shape the service around your professional interests while benefiting from an established emergency hospital, an experienced clinical team, and the resources of Ethos Veterinary Health. For more than 50 years, Animal Emergency Clinic has been a trusted resource for emergency veterinary care throughout the Inland Empire. You'll work alongside an experienced emergency team, develop strong relationships with referring veterinarians, and help expand access to specialty medicine for a growing community. Competitive compensation with production opportunities Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance Health, dental, and vision insurance CE allowance and professional development support Paid time off Retirement savings options Professional dues and licensing reimbursement Employee assistance programs Leadership development and mentorship opportunities In your day-to-day, you will: Manage complex internal medicine cases spanning GI, hepatobiliary, infectious disease, endocrine, hematologic, and respiratory conditions Perform and/or order diagnostics such as ultrasound, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, and CT as available Coordinate with emergency and other specialty teams on shared patients and transfers Develop lasting relationships with referring veterinarians throughout the Inland Empire Help establish clinical protocols and workflows as the Internal Medicine service grows Mentor technicians and assistants as part of daily case management Pursue opportunities for continued growth in areas such as ultrasound proficiency and advanced procedures Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning What You Bring DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for California veterinary licensure Board Certification in Small Animal Internal Medicine (DACVIM) or residency trained in Small Animal Internal Medicine and board eligible Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing specialty medicine An interest in developing and growing a referral-based Internal Medicine service Join Us At Ethos, this isn't just a job—it’s an opportunity to practice medicine at the highest level and help shape the future of veterinary care.
