Job Title: Emergency Department RN Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: 1-2 years License: Required licensure/certifications to work as an RN in Virginia Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/Handle with Care, NIH, PALS or ENPC Must-Have Skills/Experience: Emergency Room experience Description: Facility Overview: Licensed for 220 beds, the facility is a full-service, acute-care hospital that has been operational since June 1970. The facility is one of the largest employers in the area with over 700 employees, 100 physicians, and allied health professionals. Comprehensive services include 24-hour emergency services and a variety of medical specialties. Accreditation includes recognition by the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Surgeons. Orientation sessions are conducted bi-weekly on Tuesdays. The Emergency Department consists of 34 beds with a patient ratio of 1:5. The patient population served includes individuals of all ages. Common diagnoses/treatments include Chest Pain, CHF, COPD, and psychiatric emergencies. The ideal candidate will possess a professional, positive, and compassionate demeanor and be a team player. Dress Code: Scrubs of any color, with casual attire considered unacceptable.
