Position Overview

We are seeking a creative, organized, and engaging Learning & Development Manager to lead the development and delivery of training programs across the organization.

This role owns the full training lifecycle - from:

Identify the Need → Develop the Concept → Design the Curriculum → Create the Content → Produce the Course → Launch in Google Classroom → Deliver Live Training → Measure Results → Improve the Program

The Learning & Development Manager will transform organizational needs, policies, processes, and subject-matter expertise into clear, engaging learning experiences delivered through Google Classroom and live instructor-led sessions.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys both building training programs behind the scenes and engaging learners in front of the room.

You will directly shape how people across the organization learn, develop, and stay connected to our standards, practices, and mission.

Key Responsibilities include:

Training Design & Development

• Identify training needs and translate them into practical learning objectives and training programs.
• Develop training programs from initial concept through final production.
• Create engaging presentations, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, quizzes, assessments, and other learning resources.
• Convert policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and organizational practices into easy-to-understand training.
• Design learning experiences appropriate for virtual, self-paced, and live environments.

Internal Google Classroom Management

• Build and maintain courses within our internal Google Classroom .
• Upload and organize training materials, videos, presentations, assignments, quizzes, and resources.
• Manage learner enrollment, course completion, assignments, and training records.
• Maintain an organized and user-friendly learning environment.
• Update training programs as policies, processes, and organizational needs evolve.

Training Production

• Coordinate the production and launch of new training programs.
• Develop supporting materials using tools such as Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Forms, and other learning or design platforms.
• Conduct quality reviews to ensure training content is accurate, clear, accessible, and ready for delivery.
• Partner with subject-matter experts to validate training content

Learning Program Management & Oversight

• Oversee development and implementation of learning programs created with HR Manager (Development)
• Ensure quality and consistency of training content and delivery
• Maintain training calendars, schedules, and program structures
• Ensure alignment between learning programs and organizational priorities

Live Training & Facilitation

• Facilitate engaging virtual and/or live instructor-led training sessions .
• Lead orientations, workshops, compliance training, professional development programs, and other organizational learning sessions.

Onboarding Training Integration

• Ensure onboarding training is consistent and effective
• Continuously improve onboarding learning experiences

Training Participation Tracking & Compliance

• Ensure completion of required training programs, including:
  • Annual HR training requirements
  • Compliance-related training
• Track training participation and completion rates
• Partner with HR Analyst to monitor and report on training metrics
• Ensure visibility of training compliance across the organization

Learning Effectiveness & Continuous Improvement

• Introduce new methods and approaches to improve learning experiences
• Develop quizzes, surveys, knowledge checks, and other methods for measuring learning.
• Gather participant feedback and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Track completion rates, learner participation, assessment results, and other training metrics.
• Recommend improvements based on feedback, organizational needs, and training outcomes.
• Maintain accurate training documentation and records.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Alignment

• Partner with People Business Partner to align training with organizational strategy
• Collaborate with People Business Partner to ensure training supports operational needs
• Work to ensure inclusive and engaging learning experiences
• Support alignment between training programs and organizational goals

Volunteer Commitment Expectations

• Estimated Commitment: 10–15 hours per week
• Availability: Flexible (aligned with training schedules and leadership initiatives)
• Participation in leadership and HR coordination activities required

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of experience in training, leadership development, or HR roles
• Experience designing and delivering training programs
• Strong facilitation, communication, and leadership skills
• Experience in training, learning and development, instructional design, facilitation, education, HR, organizational development, or a related area .
• Experience in designing and developing training materials, presentations, courses, or learning programs.
• Comfortable facilitating training for groups in a live or virtual environment.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to simplify complex information and turn it into clear, engaging learning content.
• Strong organization and project-management skills with the ability to take a training initiative from idea through completion.
• Comfortable working independently and collaborating with subject-matter experts and organizational leaders.
• Experience with Google Workspace , particularly Google Classroom, Google Slides, Google Docs, and Google Forms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with instructional design or adult-learning principles.
• Experience developing compliance, onboarding, leadership, professional development, or organizational training.
• Experience creating e-learning, videos, interactive learning materials, or assessments.
• Experience tracking and reporting training completion and learning metrics.
