Asset Protection Specialist

Job Summary The Asset Protection Specialist will work a hybrid schedule (remote/onsite) after training and performance evaluations. Training occurs at the RBFCU Administrative Service Center, 1 Ikea-RBFCU Pkwy, Live Oak, Texas 78233. Bilingual Spanish/English candidates can earn a $2.00 differential upon completing the RBFCU Bilingual Spanish/English certification. The role provides quality assistance to members via phone, email, and secure messaging, processing specialized transactions and inquiries such as returned checks, negative status deposit accounts, identity theft program, and negative deposit account charge-off program. Responsibilities Provide professional, high-quality service to members, non-members, and coworkers by phone, email, and secure messaging. Process or research standard and specialized inquiries and transactions, including right of offset, charged-off recoveries, returned check deposits, and product reports. Maintain a professional disposition while handling difficult member situations and escalation as appropriate. Utilize analysis and decision-making skills to recommend solutions, meet commitments, and follow through. Maintain current knowledge of RBFCU policies, procedures, regulatory laws, and emerging issues. Collaborate with team members, communicate effectively, multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume contact center environment. Strive to meet or exceed departmental goals and key performance indicators. Conduct meetings related to department processes and products and maintain accurate documentation. Perform all other duties as assigned (essential functions and responsibilities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time). Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Experience in a financial institution. 10-key by touch proficiency. Proficient in PC use, software, and other office equipment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide superior service through written and oral channels. Excellent punctuality and attendance. Flexibility to work a schedule from Monday-Saturday.
