Registered Nurse - GI/Telemetry Unit (Night Shift)

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse in a fast-paced GI/Telemetry unit. The unit provides care for patients with a variety of gastrointestinal conditions and monitors cardiac rhythms for surgical and non-surgical GI patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients in a medical/surgical environment.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and cardiac rhythms, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and support services as needed.
• Manage complex care for patients experiencing GI conditions, blood loss, anemia, and post-operative recovery.
• Perform necessary patient assessments and document in the electronic charting system efficiently.

Schedule

Night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. Every other weekend is required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required, with at least 1 year as a traveler.
• Active RN license (NC or Compact), and certifications in ACLS and BCLS.
• Telemetry experience preferred.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start.
