What you'll do As a Cash Applications Specialist, you'll make sure every payment our clientsreceive is posted correctly and on time. You'll also spot payment trends, fix errors, and work with insurance companies to resolve problems. Post manual and electronic payments to patientaccounts Review insurance remittance advice for accuracy Spot overpayments, billing errors, and postingerrors, then resolve them or flag them to your supervisor Research unidentified payments and recoupments tofind the right resolution Flag trends or problems with specific payers Work with the accounts receivable team to resolveremittance issues Reconcile to the general ledger and support month-endclose Meet all daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines Live out Emergicon's core values every day Other duties as assigned How you'll work This role is based in our Terrell, TX office. You'll get hands-on training when you start. Depending on performance, there will be an option to move to hybrid or remote after 90days. You'll report to the Cash Applications Manager and work closely with the accounts receivableteam and insurance companies. Most of the jobis done at a computer, with frequent typing and data entry while sitting orstanding at a desk. What you'll need High school diploma or GED 1+ year of medical payment posting experience Strong attention to detail and good organization Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks atonce Clear, professional communication, both written andverbal, including on the phone Skill with Microsoft Office, including Excel(formulas, sorting, filtering) Comfort with accounting or financial software andelectronic payment systems Nice to have Accounts receivable experience Ambulance or EMS billing experience What we offer Pay of $20 per hour Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Life insurance, short-term disability, and criticalillness coverage Paid training and room to grow in the EMS industry Offers arecontingent on passing a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
