As a Full Time Paramedic or AEMT, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Huntsville, AL. Skip the truck, stay in one location – provide high-quality care in a modern onsite health clinic (no transport runs or unpredictable field conditions) Consistent night shift schedule (6p–6a) with a predictable rotating pattern offering built-in extended time off Balanced workload – focus on patient care, assessments, and treatment without the high-volume emergency call pressure Build meaningful connections with a consistent patient population of employees versus one-time encounters in the field Collaborative, supportive team environment with medical providers and staff onsite Great work-life balance with structured hours (Week 1: 36 hrs | Week 2: 48 hrs) and fewer last-minute schedule changes What You’ll Do Assesses nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed or need for additional assistance Administers initial treatment at emergency scene and takes and records patient's vital signs Initiates intravenous fluids to administer medication or drug cardiac monitoring Administers injections of medications and drugs Communicates with physician and other medical personnel in person and by radio-telephone Keeps current on treatment techniques, protocol changes, material, and equipment Prepares required reports and maintains records of activities Cleans assigned emergency vehicle Conducts safety inspections, requisitions and restocks supplies, material, and equipment May require other duties as assigned What You’ll Bring Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from an accredited Paramedic training program Current Paramedic Certification as defined within the state in which work will be performed Current ACLS certification At least three years’ experience as an EMT-P with an ambulance/EMS service Work-life balance is at the foundation of how decisions are made and where Premise is headed.
