Scientist, Cellular Resilience

AstraZeneca's Aging Research Group seeks a scientist to conduct cell-based assays supporting the development of therapeutics aimed at extending human healthspan. The role involves designing and executing in vitro experiments to assess cellular aging interventions, optimizing assays, and generating preclinical data packages.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project teams to generate preclinical data packages for drug development
- Design and execute in vitro experiments assessing cellular aging interventions and signaling pathways
- Troubleshoot and optimize cell-based assays for internal and external transfer
- Support ex vivo activities complementing CRO-run in vivo studies
- Analyze experimental data and present findings to internal stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree with minimum 2 years post-graduation research experience
- Experience designing, executing, and interpreting cell-based assays
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of cellular growth and stress signaling pathways
- Molecular and cell biology skills with assay troubleshooting capability
- Experience with biologics preferred
Compensation: $91,008.80 - $136,513.20 base
