General Responsibilities:

• The primary focus is on the delivery of technological solutions that are aligned with the critical business processes of the Health System.
• Responsible for the end-to-end availability of the technological infrastructure for University Health, which consists of storage arrays, network, servers, and middleware.
• This position is responsible for the coordinated management of interdependent and extremely complex projects over a finite period of time in order to support and achieve the strategic goals of the health system.
• Oversee all infrastructure-related projects and project budgets. Ensure licensing, maintenance and service agreements are accurate and in force. Manages the activities of all Technical Services staff.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field plus eight (8) years of information systems experience, four (4) of which are in a supervisory capacity of a programming or technical support staff is required OR twelve (12) years of related experience with four (4) years in a supervisory capacity of a programming or technical support staff is required.
• Experience with networking protocols, internetworking, the Internet, LAN to WAN communications, and Internet gateways/firewalls.
• Windows experience, both on workstation and file server configurations, is required
• Must have experience leading technical groups in choosing and implementing the best technical solutions available on the market for network hardware, network software, workstation software, workstation hardware, file server hardware, file server software, and imaging products.
