Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides expert emergency nursing care to patients in a Level III Trauma Center ER department. Delivers compassionate, efficient care across a fast-paced environment, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through clinical expertise and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and stabilize patients presenting with urgent and emergent health conditions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR system.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, procedures, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain a calm, positive attitude under pressure and support unit initiatives for quality improvement.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 1 year of emergency department experience.
• BLS and ACLS certification required; TNCC preferred.
• Strong clinical skills in airway management, IV insertion, and procedural sedation.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during high-stress situations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system is advantageous.
