Position Summary

This position provides compassionate, dependable, and professional in-home care for elderly family members in a private residence. The caregiver assists with daily living activities, companionship, safety, and household support while respecting the family's privacy and maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Provide compassionate companionship and supervision.

· Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and transfers as needed.

· Prepare meals and encourage hydration.

· Provide medication reminders as directed by the family.

· Observe and promptly report changes in physical, emotional, or cognitive condition.

· Assist with blood pressure, pulse oximeter, blood glucose monitoring, and oxygen equipment as instructed.

· Perform light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and maintain a clean, safe environment.

· Maintain accurate daily care documentation.

· Communicate promptly regarding scheduling or client concerns.

· Work respectfully with family members and follow individualized care instructions.

· Help ensure household pets remain safe and do not accidentally leave the home.

Schedule

Schedules may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Specific shifts will be discussed during the interview. Reliability and punctuality are essential.

Qualifications

· Previous caregiving experience preferred.

· Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

· Experience caring for older adults is strongly preferred.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Reliable transportation.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality.

· Ability to work independently while following instructions.

· Arrive on time and notify the family immediately if delayed.

· Promptly acknowledge work-related scheduling communications.

· Maintain client confidentiality and privacy.

· No personal FaceTime, livestreaming, or excessive personal phone use while on duty.

· Treat all family members with dignity, patience, and respect.

· Accept constructive feedback professionally.

· Maintain a positive, dependable attitude.

Physical Requirements

· Stand and walk for extended periods.

· Bend, kneel, reach, and assist with mobility.

· Safely assist with transfers as appropriate.

· Lift or move up to 35 pounds (or more if required for the position and safely performed).

· Perform household tasks associated with caregiving.

Compensation

Compensation is competitive and will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, demonstrated reliability, references, and overall fit for the position.
