The impact you will have

As our Head of Financial Institutions, you will serve as our leading subject matter expert and strategic advisor on traditional financial institutions and their adoption of digital assets. You’ll be the authoritative voice on how established financial services companies can integrate digital assets while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational excellence. Your expertise will shape our approach to serving institutional clients, influence product development for enterprise solutions, and position Elliptic as the trusted advisor for financial institutions entering the digital asset space.

You’ll join a highly collaborative global team of subject matter experts across legal, regulatory, compliance, and technical domains – each bringing deep knowledge of digital assets and traditional finance. Together, you’ll exchange insights, co-develop strategic guidance, and support each other on cross-functional efforts to deliver best-in-class solutions for our institutional clients. By contributing your unique expertise on financial institutions, you’ll help strengthen a multidisciplinary team that is shaping the future of responsible innovation in the crypto and financial services ecosystem.

As Head of Financial Services, you will play a leadership role in driving Elliptic’s growth and impact across the financial services sector. You will be accountable for deepening our engagement with traditional financial institutions, accelerating their adoption of digital assets, and ensuring they do so with regulatory confidence and operational integrity.

In this leadership role, your expertise in the financial services industry and digital assets will have a direct impact on the company’s commercial and strategic direction. You will lead the development of go-to-market strategies, guide product prioritization to meet institutional needs, and cultivate executive-level relationships with banks, asset managers, and other stakeholders. Your leadership will directly contribute to revenue growth, client success, and market expansion by ensuring our solutions align with the evolving needs of regulated financial institutions.

You will collaborate with a global team of domain specialists spanning compliance, policy, and regulatory affairs. Together, you will deliver integrated strategies and solutions that position Elliptic as the most trusted advisor and partner for institutions navigating the digital asset ecosystem. Your leadership will help institutional clients innovate responsibly and confidently — reinforcing Elliptic’s role in shaping the future of finance.

What will you do?

• Serve as the primary subject matter expert on financial services and institutional digital asset adoption

• Provide strategic advisory services to internal teams and external clients on traditional finance integration

• Develop thought leadership through authoritative content creation, including market analysis, regulatory updates, and industry trend reports

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders across banking, capital markets, and institutional finance

• Represent Elliptic at industry conferences, regulatory forums, and executive briefings with senior financial services leaders

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to provide expert guidance on institutional client requirements

• Advise on regulatory developments and market trends affecting financial institutions’ digital asset strategies

• Support business development and enterprise sales processes with deep financial services expertise

• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that accelerate adoption of digital asset solutions within traditional finance

• Build and maintain your professional profile through speaking engagements, social media presence, and industry networking

You’ll be great here if you have

• Senior financial services expertise: 10 years of experience in banking, capital markets, payments, or financial services with deep subject matter knowledge

• Institutional client experience: Deep understanding of how digital assets integrate with traditional finance systems and institutional requirements

• Strategic advisory skills: Proven ability to provide strategic counsel, influence cross-functional initiatives, and drive business outcomes

• Collaborative mindset: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including fellow subject matter experts, to deliver integrated insights and solutions for institutional clients

• Content creation and thought leadership: Demonstrated ability to create compelling, authoritative content and establish industry thought leadership

• Executive presence: Exceptional communication skills with ability to engage C-level executives and senior stakeholders across financial institutions

• Subject matter expertise: Recognized as an expert in financial services with ability to provide authoritative guidance on complex topics

• Regulatory acumen: Strong understanding of US financial regulations, compliance requirements, and regulatory landscape

• Industry credibility: Recognized expertise and extensive professional network in financial services and institutional markets

• Outcome-focused mindset: Track record of taking ownership and delivering measurable results

• NYC location: Based in New York with a willingness to travel and work from our New York office regularly

Bonus Points for:

• Experience with stablecoins and their role in traditional finance

• Previous consulting or advisory experience in financial services

• Former experience in a regulatory body or deep interactions with regulators

• Technical understanding of blockchain technology and digital asset infrastructure

• Experience developing and delivering training and knowledge-sharing sessions

• Advanced degree in finance, economics, or related field
