Cat Scan (CT) Technician

Job Title Cat Scan Technician (CT) Job Type Fulltime, Nonexempt – Nights About the Role The Cat Scan Technician performs high‑quality computed tomography (CT) imaging in accordance with established standards of practice to support accurate and timely diagnostic decisions. The position requires working safely in an acute care environment with patients across the lifespan and exposure to biological and chemical hazards. Responsibilities Review patient history and physician orders. Educate patients on procedures. Prepare and administer contrast media within scope. Monitor patient condition throughout the exam. Ensure safe and effective operation of CT equipment through proper setup, adherence to safety protocols, and performance of quality control checks. Report equipment issues promptly. Position patients and perform imaging procedures. Analyze scan quality and take corrective action when needed. Participate in performance improvement. Maintain accurate documentation and scan reporting. Provide flexible coverage across shifts or units. Uphold regular, reliable attendance. Qualifications Two‑year certificate, Associate's degree, or Baccalaureate degree. Current Radiation Operator Certificate in state of practice. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in Radiology and Computed Tomography. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Must accept on‑call assignments and be available to report to the facility within 30 minutes of notification.
