Mechanical Engineer for AI System Evaluation

Role Overview

Apply your mechanical engineering expertise to evaluate and improve AI-generated engineering content and workflows. You will assess outputs related to tools, machines, and mechanical systems, using practical design and engineering judgment.

Key Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated mechanical designs, technical drawings, system specifications, and related engineering artifacts for quality and accuracy.
• Compare AI-generated responses for engineering rigor, design soundness, and specification precision.
• Evaluate scenarios involving equipment design, system troubleshooting, and specification compliance, then provide expert feedback.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, Product Engineer, Project Engineer, Test Engineer, or in a closely related mechanical engineering role.
• Experience designing, evaluating, or maintaining mechanical products, equipment, or systems.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong written English communication skills.

Work Terms

• Remote, hourly engagement.
• Immediate start.
• Commitment of 20 or more hours per week.
• Expected duration of approximately 4 to 6 weeks.

Compensation

• $70 to $110 per hour.
• The first task is paid on a task-based basis upon approval. Candidates who complete that task within the required timeline may transition to hourly payment for the remainder of the project.
