About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Land Development to take on a pivotal role in the creation of a large-scale residential community. The successful candidate will be tasked with the comprehensive oversight of all horizontal land development activities, including budgeting, scheduling, value engineering, construction supervision, and long-range infrastructure planning. This executive leadership position demands a strategic and hands-on approach, with a focus on shaping a transformative project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Arizona residential master planned communities, particularly in the areas of grading, earthwork balancing, and utility infrastructure. A collaborative leadership style is essential, as the role involves managing a diverse range of stakeholders, from consultants and contractors to government officials and homebuilders, to ensure the successful and timely delivery of the project. Applicants for the Vice President of Land Development role at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have a minimum of 10 years' progressive experience in land development leadership. The role requires a deep understanding of Arizona's municipal entitlement and permitting processes, as well as a proven track record in managing large-scale residential master planned communities. Key responsibilities include engineering and design management, construction management, and governmental and regulatory relations. The ideal candidate will also have experience with CFD reimbursement districts, strong CMAR and public bidding experience, and knowledge of SWPPP compliance and environmental regulations.
