About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Center Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2+ years License: Required Certifications: BLS, NRP, FHM Must-Have: Experience with labor and delivery patients, gynecological surgeries, antepartum, postpartum care, non-stress tests, and triage. Description: We are seeking a qualified RN to join our team. This position involves caring for labor and delivery patients, as well as providing postpartum and nursery care. The unit consists of LDRP/Antepartum beds with an average daily patient census of 1-3. Patient ratios include 1:1 for laboring patients and 1:3 for couplets, antepartum, and surgical patients. The RN will be responsible for assessing and caring for postpartum and newborn patients. Support is available within the department, including a charge RN who may take patients as needed. RNs will draw blood and will have fetal heart monitoring available at the bedside and nurse's station. There is a 30-minute call-back time from the OB physician. Technology and equipment include an EMR system and various infusion pumps. Floating may occur to inpatient units to act as a sitter or in a CNA role. The scheduling includes a weekend rotation every other week. On-call expectations vary based on contract requirements. Shift times and scheduling cycles will be discussed in further detail. Scrub color is flexible, and the designated parking is available in the appropriate areas.
