Program Manager

HP needs a program manager to assist HP’s circularity metrics director in improving HP’s data architecture and automation efforts for Circularity reporting, from the bill of materials (BOM) level data collection to final submissions with Certified Financial Reporting (CFR) compliant shipment data for EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Sustainable Impact (SIR) reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management, program leadership, and sustainability reporting frameworks. Supplier will provide the following services (collectively, the "Services"): System Management: Drive end-to-end improvements and consolidation of a diverse architecture of systems, owned by a variety of stakeholders, to grow an increasingly automated sustainability data reporting. This involves defining project scope, setting timelines, and coordinating with cross‑functional teams, including IT, R&D, Product Cost Management, supply chain, finance, and corporate reporting. Team Management: Assist the Metrics Director with meeting organization, team meetings, team responsibility tracking, quarterly and annual metrics reporting and forecasting. Provide advice, lend experience, and ensure direction to less experienced members of the team confirming roles and responsibilities with the metrics director. Data Architecture and Collection: Implement a robust data architecture that increasingly captures material and sustainability information from a variety of BOM, Business Unit, and Supplier level sources. This includes identifying verifying data quality, and reducing the reliance on Excel consolidated data. This involves assisting other source reporting and database teams (i.e. Marble, maybe Viking) as HP slowly transitions to Production BOM‑sourced data, much of which has yet to be built or implemented as required by EU CSRD and ESRS E5, but also consolidation of data to assist with Ecolabel reporting (e.g. packaging and recycled material data EPEAT). Automation: Develop automated processes for data collection, validation, and aggregation. This includes building and maintaining data pipelines to flow information from source systems (Marble, CSI, Panda, etc.) to reporting platforms (SIRA, Viking, BMDIS/Cadence). This work includes identifying, planning, and implementing changes in the Circularity reporting pyramid that consolidates data from a large number of sources at the bottom of the pyramid through several layers of combination, consolidation, and analytics into singular systems at the top where final reporting occurs. Regulatory Compliance: Assist the metrics engineer and metrics director to ensure that all reporting processes and data outputs are compliant with major sustainability frameworks, notably the EU CSRD and its European Sustainability Reporting Standards on Circularity ( ESRS E5 ). Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key HP‑internal interfaces that are external to the Circularity team such as those listed in the above cross‑functional teams. Tooling and Technology: Evaluate and help select new technologies, systems, and the organization of data to enhance data management and reporting capabilities. Continuous Improvement on Quality: Track and help the metrics director develop a roadmap for improving data quality, efficiency, consolidation, and increasing the completeness of data that supports sustainability metrics over a multi‑year period. Assist the circularity reporting team in the roadmap for expanding the scope of circularity reporting as the team shifts from reporting on product and primary packaging to include upstream circularity (logistics, factory, supplier, etc.) per EU CSRD and other regulatory law requirements. Stewardship: Enable quarterly Stewardship (Circularity and Compliance) metrics collection and reporting for the circularity metrics director’s parent organization under David Buck, Senior Director.
