Senior AccountantLocation: Kansas City, MO Work Arrangement: Primarily onsite. After training, there may be an option to work from home one day per week. Salary: $80,000 to $105,000 annuallyPosition OverviewSeeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end and year-end close activities. This role works closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain accurate financial records, strengthen internal controls, and provide financial insights for business decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.Support audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.Analyze financial results, variances, and key performance metrics.Improve financial reporting and accounting processes.Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial and operational objectives.Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and subsidiary financial reporting as needed.Use ERP systems and financial data to identify trends and improve reporting efficiency.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of manufacturing accounting experience required.Experience with ERP systems.Advanced Excel skills.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Preferred QualificationsCPA or MBA preferred but not required.BenefitsPaid time off9 paid holidaysMedical, dental, and vision insuranceHSA and FSA optionsTraditional and Roth 401(k)Company-paid life insuranceShort-term and long-term disability coverage
