Key Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data, and provide nursing interventions consistent with the Plan of Care and physician-prescribed medical plans
• Perform all circulating duties with efficiency, including prepping the operating room for patient and procedure, positioning and preparing the patient on the operating table, and completing verification of the Safe Surgery checklist
• Delegate, supervise, and evaluate the activities of other team members while executing immediate directives and interventions in urgent or emergent situations
• Serve as the communication liaison between the patient's family and members of the operating team
• Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely in a timely manner using appropriate formats and forms
• Assist in the control and maintenance of supplies and equipment, and willingly participate in assigned call as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina or compact state eligibility
• Experience in cardiovascular or cardiac operating room nursing
• Proficiency with computer programs utilized to deliver patient care
• Ability to assume duties within or outside of the sterile field as assigned

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior CVOR circulating experience
• Demonstrated commitment to professional growth through goal-setting and participation in educational offerings
• Strong communication and customer relations skills aligned with service excellence standards
