Pay:$23-$30

Schedule: D-Shift 6pm-6am with rotation weeks

Position Summary

The Equipment Technician keeps the lines running: performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, and responding fast when a line goes down. Complete, accurate work-order documentation feeds the reliability program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance per CMMS work orders and close them with complete documentation on time.

• Respond to line-down calls within the response-time standard; troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic failures to root component.

• Repair and adjust filling, seaming, labeling, packaging, and conveyance equipment; verify quality output with Production after restart.

• Record failure codes, parts used, and labor hours accurately on every work order.

• Support changeovers: format parts, adjustments, and first-good-can verification to the changeover-time standard.

• Follow lockout/tagout and all maintenance safety procedures without exception; restore all guards before release.

• Perform basic facilities maintenance (utilities checks, minor plumbing/electrical, building repairs) as assigned.

• Pull parts from the crib accurately and report low stock on critical spares.

• Escalate repeat failures and safety concerns to the Equipment Supervisor.

• Maintain clean, organized work areas and tool accountability consistent with GMP requirements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience; food/beverage, canning, or packaging equipment experience strongly preferred.

• Solid mechanical aptitude with working electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.

• Able to read equipment manuals, schematics, and parts diagrams.

• Reliable documentation habits in a CMMS or paper work-order system.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade certification or apprenticeship a plus

SITE REQUIREMENTS (all roles)

• Reliable attendance: able to stand a full shift and lift up to 50 lbs
• Steel-toe footwear required; all other PPE provided
• GMP food-safety environment — hairnets/beard nets, no jewelry, hygiene standards enforced
• Packaging/Pouching: prior manufacturing or production line experience preferred
• Quality: prior QA/QC or inspection experience in a food/beverage or GMP setting preferred
• Equipment Technician: hands-on industrial maintenance (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic); packaging equipment a plus
