How You’ll Contribute Operates specialized equipment for diagnostic and vascular tests; performs therapeutic interventions in the Cardiac/Vascular Cath Lab, scrubs at the tableside, and monitors patients as assigned. Responsible for patient transport as necessary. Prepares equipment and supplies; selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Assists Technicians in performing technical tasks. Ensures temperature and environmental monitoring logs are maintained appropriately. Keeps current on new drugs. What We’re Looking For Education: Graduate of a program in radiologic technology, cardiovascular technology, or RCIS – required. Licenses: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and a thorough working knowledge of Cardiac/Vascular Cath Lab practices – required. Certification: BLS certification from AHA or ARC – required to be obtained within 90 days of employment if not current. Minimum work experience: One year in a cardiovascular lab or similar special procedures – preferred. Must be able to perform all vascular/cardiac procedures involving imaging equipment, including assisting physicians during the catheterization procedure.
