Truck Hostler

The Truck Hostler drives Class 4-8 straight truck chassis around the properties and other destinations as needed. The position will also assist with general assembly duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate with production management to determine tank and chassis needs Coordinate with shop staff to gain space to mount tanks Safely set and mount tanks on chassis for transport Move Trucks from one location to another. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and yard Assist warehouse with picking parts to go on trucks Assist production in assembling parts on trucks All other related duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

Must be able to safely operate a forklift and/or other assigned vehicles and equipment. Must have a working knowledge and understanding of safety requirements and practice them. Must have good time management, planning, organization and prioritization skills. Must be able to work assigned shift, arriving on time and abiding by all attendance policies.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

TRAVEL

This position does not travel.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience. Must have at least two years of work experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

A valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required, including air brake endorsement and tanker endorsement. A clean driving record is required, minor infractions excluded.
