On-Call Security Officer

POSITION SUMMARY: The On-Call Security Officer is unarmed and responsible for providing safety and security at our hotels. The Security Officer will help protect guests, visitors and fellow employees and their belongings, as well as LORE property. All duties are performed in accordance with department and LORE policies, practices, and procedures. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Follow the directives of the Security and Surveillance Departments chain of command Detain or remove individuals when necessary Coordinate with law enforcement as necessary De-escalate disagreements between individuals and opposing parties Properly maintain effective crowd control during times of high traffic Assist, direct, and/or Escort guests, visitors, vendors, and colleagues when necessary Patrol all grounds/buildings (interior, exterior, sidewalks, and structures) Sit or Stand post when scheduled/required until properly relieved Ensure all doors and gates are properly secured when applicable Respond to various situations as directed by the dispatcher, including incidents/disturbances, and calls for support from guest, colleagues, and the Security Chain of command Complete proper reports and/or security logs when necessary Monitor foot and vehicular traffic on LORE owned and operated properties.
