The Links at Columbia Golf & Country Club is seeking a dependable, self-motivated individual to assume the role of Pro Shop Manager. The Pro Shop Manager is responsible for all aspects of managing the day-to-day operations of the pro shop; including but not limited to inventory management, retail sales, taking reservations and assigning the play of golfers, collecting greens fees, golf cart rental and maintenance, coordinating golf tournaments and other special activities, communicating and enforcing Course rules and regulations, providing excellent customer service to members and guests, and ensuring compliance with company policy and applicable laws.

The Pro Shop Manager must maintain a professional and service-oriented environment in the pro shop by utilizing excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and by keeping the shop neat and orderly.

Qualified candidates must have a professional presence and outstanding work ethic, a general working knowledge of game of golf including rules, regulations, and etiquette, excellent communication skills and training abilities; and must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities:

• Recruiting, recommending candidates for hire
• Scheduling employees to meet operational demands
• Conducting employee training
• Enforcing policies and procedures and providing corrective action when necessary

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge in all departments of the Pro Shop including:
  • Operations of Golf Cart Fleet
  • Grills and freezers
• Complete and manage schedule for employees
• Provide excellent customer service which includes but is not limited to greeting members, and public, answering the phone, and directing inquiries daily.

Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends, and holidays.

• 1 year experience preferred
