Our client is a leading General Contractor specializing in education, high-end multifamily, and mixed-use construction across the Chicagoland market. They deliver luxury residential, podium-style, and mid- to high-rise developments for well-capitalized developers. They are known for repeat partnerships, negotiated work, and a consistent pipeline of projects, offering both stability and the opportunity to work on highly visible developments in one of the most active submarkets outside of downtown.
Job Description
Glimpse of your role:
- Manage all phases of education and multi-family construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
- Monitor project progress and address any challenges or delays promptly.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Coordinate procurement and delivery of necessary materials and resources.
- Conduct regular site visits to oversee construction activities and ensure quality control.
- Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project status and performance.

The Successful Applicant
- 5+ years of construction project management experience, including ground-up new construction.
- Strong project experience on commercial, healthcare, k-12, or multi-family
- Proven ability to run projects valued while managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and clients.
- Skilled in Procore, MS Project, or other project management tools.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, permitting, and construction processes; background in estimating or field supervision is a plus.
