Job Description
Title: MS - Stroke Stepdown Schedule:
- Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
- Block Scheduling is not promised or guaranteed. Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 weekly Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in Medical-Surgical nursing with stroke stepdown experience.
- Travel experience is required.
- Valid driver's license with an address that matches demographics.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- NIHSS certification is required for this unit (can be obtained prior to start). Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for adult patients in a stroke stepdown unit.
- Monitor and assess patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate patient care.
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care. Compliance / Notes:
- Floating to other units may be required.
- Dress code: Navy Blue scrubs.
