Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Behavioral Health/Psychiatric Nursing for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing care to patients with mental health and behavioral conditions in an acute care setting. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for behavioral health and psychiatric patients.
• Monitor patients for changes in mental and physical health status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Support patients and families through education and therapeutic communication.
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
• Follow all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health/Psychiatric RN experience.
• Previous acute care psychiatric nursing experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS Certification
• Strong assessment, communication, and crisis intervention skills.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Travel nursing experience is a plus.
