In this role, you will serve as a technical leader throughout the entire project lifecycle—from design through post-construction—ensuring building systems perform optimally and meet commissioning standards. You will work with diverse internal and external stakeholders, drive commissioning excellence across multiple concurrent projects, and contribute directly to JLL's mission of delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients. This position offers the opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a collaborative environment while advancing sustainable building practices.What this job involves:Monitor, review, and execute all facets of commissioning projects, providing technical leadership and field oversight throughout design, pre-construction, construction, and post-construction phasesConduct comprehensive field-based commissioning activities, including site visits, development and approval of start-up and test forms, and managing the execution of Functional Test scripts and Integrated Systems Test scriptsPerform detailed reviews of commissioning design drawings, specifications, and submittals (shop drawings) to ensure alignment with project requirements and standardsDevelop and maintain commissioning plans, specifications, activity schedules, and sequence-of-work documentation for assigned projectsChair commissioning meetings and liaise with team members, consultants, and contractors to lead cross-functional teams effectivelyManage project documentation requirements front-to-back, including issue logs, systems manuals, seasonal/performance tests, and training program developmentTravel up to 50% to client sites across the USA to perform field activities and support project executionRequired Qualifications:Recognized university technical degree or equivalent; Engineering Degree strongly preferredMinimum of 3+ years of relevant mechanical or electrical engineering and/or field-testing experienceDemonstrated experience with all commissioning processes and deliverables covered in ASHRAE, CSA, and LEED commissioning requirementsWorking knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment/systems inspections, testing, and associated commissioning activitiesProficiency in using calibrated testing equipment (flow hoods, anemometers, pitot tubes, IR cameras, Power Quality Meters, and various meters)Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong data management capabilitiesProficiency in MS Office products and demonstrated ability to coordinate and organize multiple project schedules concurrentlyPreferred Qualifications:Professional Engineer (PE) or PMP designationAny combination of Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Certified Building Commissioning Professional (CBCP), Certified Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP), Building Commissioning Professional (BCxP), or Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) designationsLEED AP certificationAbility to use electrical testing meters and equipment including Power Quality Meters (PQM), thermography, NETA tests, ground tests, hi-pot, and meggerWillingness and ability to travel internationally when neededThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
