Server
Serves meals to patrons in dining establishment by performing the following duties.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
- Takes customer orders.
- Relays orders to kitchen
- Garnishes and decorates dishes preparatory to serving.
- Serves patrons at table.
- Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
- Totals bill and accepts payment.
- Ladles soup, portions pies and desserts, brews coffee, and performs other services as necessary.
- Clears and resets tables at conclusion of each course
- Responsible for cleaning the restaurant throughout the shift and as a part of closing duties
