Director of Nursing

Director of NursingMeadow Falls of Saybrook, a premier senior living community, is seeking an exceptional Director of Nursing to lead our Nursing Services Department. As a key member of our leadership team, the Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality resident care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a positive work environment. This is a full-time, salaried position that reports directly to the Executive Director.Responsibilities:Manage and oversee the nursing services department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards of practiceDevelop and implement policies and procedures that promote quality care and ensure the safety and well-being of residentsRecruit, interview, and counsel nursing staff; collaborate with the Medical Director to ensure quality care is providedConduct rounds to assess quality of resident care and staff compliance, and ensure adequate staffing levelsInvestigate complaints, grievances, and allegations of abuse or neglect; promote harmonious relationships among healthcare team membersDevelop and maintain budget and operations plans, and collaborate with the Administration on special projectsEnsure compliance with Infection Control policies and procedures, and maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the facilityConduct monthly staff meetings, Team Manager Nurse meetings, and monthly nursing supervisor meetingsEstablish health and safety rules related to the work environment, and manage stress tolerance, pressure, and anxietyRequirements:Education: LPN or RN, with a current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers CPR certificateExperience: Sufficient experience to perform daily tasks, with a minimum of five years general nursing experience, and at least two years in long-term care and supervision, administration, consultation, or involvement in the long-term care survey processKnowledge: Nursing, Medicine, Psychology, Customer and Personal Service, English Language, Therapy and Counseling, Mathematics, Administration and Management, Safety and SecuritySkills and Abilities: Active Listening, Critical Thinking, Communication, Delegation, Quality Management, Monitoring, Service Orientation, Problem Sensitivity, Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work, Judgment and Decision Making, Inductive and Deductive Reasoning, Teamwork, Attention to Detail, Emotional Stability, Dependability, Integrity, Technical SkillsWhy Join Our Team:Competitive salaryOpportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environmentProfessional development and growth opportunitiesRecognition for outstanding performanceHow to Apply:If you are a motivated and compassionate professional with a passion for delivering exceptional resident care, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
