Base Salary Information:

What you will be doing:
Engineer/Architect 1:
Under the general direction of the Design Manager or a registered professional engineer, perform as Civil Engineer lead for small-to-medium-sized capital improvement projects - including preliminary engineering & field reconnaissance thru final design & advertising. Work includes leading a multi-disciplinary team (internal staff and/or consultant) through the development process for road & airport projects. Work also includes research, development, and final production of project deliverables (plans, specifications, estimates, and other engineering documents). This position is able to independently perform field reconnaissance work, as needed. The incumbent will work closely with & mentor Engineering Assistants.
Engineer/Architect 2:
Under the general direction of the Design Manager or a registered professional engineer, perform as Civil Engineer lead for medium-to-large-sized capital improvement projects & all relevant duties outlined in the E/A 1 position above. Our organization, mission, and culture:

This position is flexibly staffed. This vacancy may be filled at either the Engineer/Architect 1 or Engineer/Architect 2 level, depending on the applicant's training and/or experience. The full range of salaries is listed above. Starting salary will be determined by the level the position is hired at. If filled at a lower level, promotion to the higher level will occur upon successful completion of the probationary period and required training, as well as the applicant meeting the minimum qualifications of the higher job class.

- Civil Engineering: Knowledge of the concepts, principles, theories, and methods required to plan, design, construct, operate, and maintain facilities such as highway & airport transportation systems, water and sanitary systems, and other public works systems.
