About the Role
We are partnering with a leading national retail organization to hire a Senior Frontend Platform Engineer. This role sits within a highly collaborative engineering team responsible for building and maintaining an enterprise-wide JavaScript toolkit used across numerous internal applications.

This position is ideal for an experienced frontend engineer who is passionate about creating scalable, reusable UI solutions that enhance developer productivity, drive consistency, and accelerate delivery across large, complex environments.

Job Description
As a Senior Frontend Platform Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain shared component libraries and frontend platform capabilities used by multiple development teams. You will play a key role in shaping frontend standards, improving developer experience, and enabling scalable application development across the organization.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain reusable React components and shared UI libraries for enterprise use
• Design scalable frontend architecture patterns that support both framework-specific and framework-agnostic use cases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and usability across applications
• Integrate frontend components into broader application ecosystems, including Next.js environments
• Support continuous delivery practices to ensure efficient, high-quality deployments
• Contribute to AI-assisted workflows by helping define structured prompts, context, and supporting materials for AI tools and agent-based systems

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in frontend software engineering
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript with hands-on experience building React components and scalable, modern frontend UI architectures.
• Experience working with Next.js and integrating components into larger application ecosystems
• Proven experience building and maintaining shared component libraries or frontend platform tooling
• Experience supporting both framework-specific and framework-agnostic frontend solutions
• Familiarity with continuous delivery practices and modern DevOps workflows
• Exposure to AI-related product features such as chatbots, RAG systems, Slack integrations, or agent-based workflows
• Ability to define structured prompts, contextual inputs, and supporting assets for AI tools and workflows

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with microfrontend architectures
• Experience developing conversational UI components or chatbot interfaces
• Background supporting internal developer platforms or enterprise-scale application ecosystems
• Exposure to AI-assisted development workflows and tools
