Location: Vandalia, OH area
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday - Friday), 5:00am to 1:30pm
Salary: $15.00 - $17.00/hour (Depending on experience)

Our client is an established, premier leader in commercial air distribution and custom sheet metal manufacturing. Serving their market for several decades, they produce high-quality HVAC products, including wall box housings, ductwork, and ventilation systems. They pride themselves on precision, an excellent safety record, and maintaining a team-oriented warehouse environment.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packing Associate to join our team. In this role, you will safely and efficiently package finished metal ductwork, ventilation equipment, and custom-fabricated sheet metal parts for shipment. You will work closely with the fabrication and shipping departments to ensure orders are wrapped securely, labeled correctly, and ready for transit to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Package finished sheet metal products, HVAC components, and housings into boxes, crates, or pallets according to specific packaging guidelines.
  
• Safely use wrapping materials, bands, strapping tools, and tape guns to secure heavy or oversized shipments.
  
• Conduct final quality checks on finished products to ensure they are free from visible defects and match invoice specifications before packing.
  
• Apply shipping labels, stencil barcodes, and complete necessary documentation accurately.
  
• Operate warehouse equipment (such as pallet jacks and hand trucks) to move packed goods to the staging or shipping area.
  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
  
• Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily shipping deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, packing, or assembly environment preferred (experience handling sheet metal or industrial products is a major plus).
  
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly. Must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout an 8-hour shift.
  
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and basic mathematical skills for accurate order counting.
  
• Attitude: Reliable, safety-conscious, and a dedicated team player with strong punctuality.
  
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  
• Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screening.
