About This Role The Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Infusion position involves providing comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in collaboration and possess strong clinical judgment. Highlights Location: Greenlawn, NY Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift What You\'ll Do Assess the patient’s physiologic health status through interviews and comprehensive health assessments. Evaluate patient’s psychosocial health status and identify cultural/ethnic requirements. Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes and establish individualized patient goals. Formulate and document the plan of care in collaboration with health team members. Implement the plan of care while ensuring safety precautions are followed. Provide emotional support and clear instructions to patients and their families. Evaluate care provided and document effectiveness of interventions. Collaborate with care team members and assist during treatments and diagnostic procedures. Administer medications correctly and educate patients on drug interactions. Participate in patient and family education and coordinate referrals for follow-up care. Requirements Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: 1-2 years of inpatient/outpatient experience preferred. Oncology experience preferred. Licenses & Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required. Specialized certifications as needed.
