Job Title Heat Treat Operator Position Summary Magellan Aerospace, Glendale specializes in the manufacturing of precision magnesium and aluminum sand castings. We have an exciting opportunity for a Heat Treat Operator. Essential Responsibilities Assist with operation, control and monitoring of heat treating and related equipment. Prepare customer supplied parts for processing. Load and unload furnaces, bins, baskets, fixtures, etc. Follow written procedures on shop orders and/or customer paperwork. Bring any irregularities or non-conformities to attention of supervisor or management. Promote safety and good housekeeping practices. Perform other tasks as assigned or dictated by position. Assist the straightening department. Other duties may be assigned. Position Requirements Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must be able to regularly lift 50 lbs., bend, climb, stoop, and stand. Knowledge of heat-treating processes preferred but not necessary. Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift operator certification, with training available in-house. Must be able to pass Vision Eye Exam. Heat Treat Operator Certification required, with training available in-house. Good organizational skills. Why Magellan? Competitive Salary.
