Your Responsibilities:
  • Enhance Veteran Care: Provide impactful, patient-focused care to a diverse group of Veterans with complex arrhythmias.
  • Advance Cardiac Innovation: Diagnose and manage a variety of heart rhythm disorders utilizing cutting-edge technology, including performing complex catheter ablations, device implantations (pacemakers, ICDs), and lead extractions.
  • Shape Future Healthcare: Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows as part of your faculty role at the University of Arizona.
  • Collaborate with Experts: Work closely with distinguished cardiology professionals, advanced practice providers, and allied health staff to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Broaden Your Expertise: Participate in a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including cardiac ultrasound, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT, and cardiac MRI interpretation based on your interests.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive Salary: Annual earnings ranging from $360,000 to $380,000, plus performance bonuses and regular salary increases.
  • Sign-On Bonus & EDRP: Eligible candidates may receive up to $200,000 in student loan reimbursement.
  • Generous Paid Time Off: Enjoy 50-55 paid days off annually, including vacation, sick leave, federal holidays, and CME time.

Qualifications:
  • Must be a US citizen (non-citizens may be considered if qualified US citizens are unavailable).
  • MD/DO degree with completion of a US-based residency and Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship.
  • Board Certification in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology (ABIM).
  • Eligibility for VA and University of Arizona appointments.
  • Active, unrestricted US medical license.
  • Current AHA BLS/ACLS certification.
