Sr. Institutional Sales Officer (Los Angeles)

Position SummaryThe Sr. Institutional Sales Officer will be responsible for collaborating with various groups within TCW to raise new assets from institutional investors in a Western US regional territory. They will be responsible for systematically identifying and engaging with investors who are most likely to utilize TCW’s solutions across private credit, public fixed income and public equity. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of providing exceptional, highly consultative sales efforts. They should be self-motivated, strategic and entrepreneurial. Exceptional collaboration is expected. Essential DutiesSecure new business directly from institutional prospects in close collaboration with Consultant Relations, Portfolio Specialist, and Product Services teamsUtilize consultative selling techniques to develop and manage meaningful relationships with institutional clients and prospects.Actively develop client solutions, including providing input for new product ideas and business capabilitiesFrequent business travel requiredRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or universityA minimum of 10 years industry experience with a minimum of 5 years of direct institutional sales experienceProven track record in asset management institutional business developmentProven ability to understand and explain a wide range of public and private asset classes, strategies and productsDemonstrated ability to build and maintain strong strategic relationships, including a seasoned list of existing relationships with significant institutional investorsProfessional Skills QualificationsExcellent written, verbal and presentation skillsStrong initiative and self-starterAbility to work in an exceptionally collaborative team environmentProven ability to raise assets in private credit and/or ABF is highly desiredDemonstrable ability to discuss complex public fixed income strategies is highly desiredDesired QualificationsCFA, CAIA and/or MBA strongly preferredEstimated Compensation:Base Salary: For CA based position, the base salary range is $300k - $350k. This is an anticipated range only.
